tiny jet = low upkeep costs

The idea is to be able to roll it into your garage close to the airstrip.
There are a few innovations with regard to tiny smart-planes.
The Cri-Cri weighs only 87 kg. That’s pretty good, as much as one large adult.

Getting one for under 25k would be a real deal, especially if you get the jet engines put on it. I would add some long range fuel tanks, and some pontoons for water landing. Small lakes are very private and much safer than landing on roads if there’s no airport nearby.

Flyboard Air … cool but is it safe? Sure it is, if you have a mini-parachute on your backpack.
